Academy at the Lakes Senior Portrait Guide

Hello, Class of 2027 — and welcome to your senior year at Academy at the Lakes.

Senior year is a lot. The applications, the deadlines, the “what are you doing next year?” questions from every adult you’ve ever met. But in the middle of all of it, your senior portraits are something different ... a moment that’s actually just for you.

At Cloud 9 Studios, we’ve had the joy of photographing many of you since you were just starting your journey at Academy at the Lakes. You are an incredibly special class to us, and we take that seriously. We’re not here to give you a generic backdrop and a forced smile. We’re here to show the world who you actually are right now ... your personality, your confidence, the person your family loves so much it makes them ache a little, knowing you’re about to go out and take on the world with it.

Here’s everything you need to know to get started.

Yearbook Requirements

The yearbook deadline is set by the school. Your portrait must be submitted by:

September 30, 2026

We strongly encourage you to schedule your session during the summer — before the school year gets crazy. This gives you the best selection of dates, the most relaxed experience, and plenty of time to meet the deadline without stress.

For your yearbook submission you will select:

•         One Formal Portrait
•         One Personality Portrait

Our team handles all artwork and retouching to ensure your portraits are yearbook-ready.

What to Wear

Formal Portrait:

You may choose between a Suit & Tie that you bring with you, or our Black Drape provided in studio.

Personality Portrait:

This is your moment. Bring an outfit(s) that truly represents who you are — your style, your interests, your story. Get creative. This is the portrait your family will want hanging in the hallway for years to come.

Your Session Options

We offer four session types for the Class of 2027. Every session beyond Yearbook Only includes a separate Design Consultation Appointment — a personalized ordering experience for you and your parents to view your portraits, choose your yearbook selection, and order your favorites.

Yearbook Only Photo Session

• A 15-minute session in our studio, available Tuesday through Friday.
• We will capture both a formal portrait and a personality portrait with one outfit choice.
• No session fee.
• Immediate image selection post-session for yearbook submission.
• Option to purchase portraits.

Wildcat Designer Photo Session

• A 45-minute in-studio session, available Monday through Saturday.
• Includes 1-3 Personality outfits along with the Formal Portrait
• $45 session fee.
• Portraits available for purchase during a personalized ordering appointment.

Wildcat Elite Photo Session

• A 1.5-hour session in our studio and/or on-location in the Wesley Chapel/Land O Lakes area, available Tuesday through Saturday.
• Includes 1-3 Personality outfits along with the Formal Portrait.
• $75 session fee.
• Portraits available for purchase during a personalized ordering appointment. There is a $500 minimum purchase of portraits when going on location.

Unique Client Location Request

• A 1.5-hour session at your chosen location, available Tuesday through Saturday.
• Includes 1-3 Personality outfits along with the Formal Portrait.
• $150 session fee.
• Portraits available for purchase during a personalized ordering appointment. There is a $500 minimum purchase of portraits when going on location.
